Charity Support
Every year the children and staff vote on a charity to support, after hearing presentations from Year 6. We have enjoyed supporting local charities, national charities and international charities. The children try to reflect on current situations in selecting the charities to present to the school.
Our Chosen Charity this year is British Heart Foundation. Our Year 6 children made fantastic presentations and our whole voted BHF as its chosen charity.
Throughout the year we also support:
- The Winchester Night Shelter through food donations at harvest
- Children in Need by paying to come to school dressed up
- RNIB by collecting stamps.
Last year we supported Heart Wildlife, despite the pandemic we raised over £2000.
Previous Charity work
Last year we raised £3443.90 for Cancer Research UK.
We had fun with events such as a Jelly sale and a sponsored run for parents and children.
Over the years we have also supported:
- The Hampshire and IOW Air Ambulance
- Guide Dogs for the Blind
- Christian Aid
- The Alton Food Bank
- Comic Relief
- Children in Need
