Hedgehogs Pre-School
We are extremely fortunate to have our own Pre-School on site here at Selborne. Our children from 3 years upwards, learn and play in partnership with our Reception Year children altogether in our Hedgehogs Class and are able to enjoy a dedicated large outdoor learning environment.
Ofsted complimented the school by saying, "Pupils thrive at this school. Right from the start of pre-school they are known as individuals by staff."
Their Class Teacher is Mrs Katharine Adams and Mrs Rhianwen Murphy (maternity leave).
Their Learning Support Assistant is Mrs Charlotte Brown.

Session Times and Costs
Our pre-school nursery sessions align with the school day, making for easy drop off and pick up for children aged 3 to 11 years.
Breakfast Club: 7:45am- 8.40am (pre-booked spaces with a miniumum of 48 hours with the school office only to ensure staffing ratios).
Morning Drop Off: 8.40-8.55am
Morning Session: 8.40am-12:30pm
Afternoon Session: 12:30-3.10pm
Pick Up: 3.10pm
Hourly sessional rate: £6.50
Free Early Years Funding: Your early years funding for 30 hours can be used against morning or afternoon sessions to support your children's learning and developmnt. This funding can not support the Breakfast Club which is payable at the hourly rate.

What uniform do the children need?
Our pre-school nursery children will share some items from our School uniform:
- White polo shirt
- School logoed jumper (please see School uniform page on the website for details)
- Jogging bottoms, elasticated shorts, leggings or a school checked school dress - all items which encourage children to dress and undress easily and indepdently.
- Velcro shoes / trainers with socks for indoor play
- Wellies for the outside.
- Waterproofs for a wet day
- Sun hat and cream for a hot day
- And a change of clothes for (including nappies and wipes where necessary) every day!
- Water bottle
